Demon Slayer Cosplay Ideas

Kamado Nezuko

Kamado Nezuko is Tanjiro’s younger sister and the only survivor of the demon attack. After being turned into a demon, while Nezuko initially attacks Tanjiro, she regains part of her consciousness and does not attack him further.

When she is being docile, Nezuko appears cute and innocent. She is an attractive young girl with wavy, long black hair with orange tips. Her hair is very long, and it reaches below her knees. As a demon, Nezuko has pale pink eyes, fair skin complexion, and large canine teeth that are usually obstructed by the bamboo muzzle.

Nezuko’s outfit consists of a pink kimono with a lighter pink lining and an obi. She is also seen wearing a haori on top. Alongside her traditional dressing, she also has special footwear consisting of Japanese zori and white socks tied with pink ribbons. You can try this costume for yourself too. With a pair of pale lenses and an outfit, you can pull your very own version of Nezuko!

Kamado Tanjiro

Kamado Tanjiro is the main protagonist of Demon Slayer. He is the older brother of Nezuko. Tanjiro is a very kind-hearted individual, capable of feeling sad even for his enemies. He cares deeply for Nezuko and strives to find a cure so he can turn her into a human again. Regarding Tanjiro’s costume, the most significant piece of his dressing is his green and black haori.

Due to his job as a charcoal-seller, he has a relatively good, in-shape physique. He is mostly seen wearing a pair of hanafuda earrings. Another one of Tanjiro’s unique features is the scar on his forehead. Tanjiro’s dressing changes slightly as the series progresses. When fighting demons, he is seen wearing the demon slayer uniform with zori tied using red ribbons and his signature green and black haori. His hair is short and spiky; however, it was initially longer. If he is your favorite demon slayer character, you can choose to cosplay his multiple outfits.

Inosuke Hashibira

Inosuke is a fellow demon slayer and a travel companion who fights alongside Tanjiro. He is rather short-tempered and is the center of many comic moments in the show. Due to his unpredictable personality, he is a fan-favorite character of many. When it comes to his appearance, he is surprisingly muscular despite being quite young. He has a very pale complexion; however, we initially do not get to see his face as he is often seen wearing a boar mask.

If you prefer to dress up as the original character, Inosuke is quite a good choice. With the right boar mask and the rest of the costume, you can pull an Inosuke look that looks exactly like the anime. However, if you want to go for a wig instead, you also have that option. Inosuke has a cute face with black hair ending in bluish tips and green eyes. Check out our Inosuke costumes for his costume details.

Kochou Shinobu

Kochou Shinobu is one of the Hashiras in Demon Slayer. A Hashira refers to the strongest warriors in the demon slayer corps. Her name “Kocho” symbolizes her status as the Insect Hashira. As a demon slayer, Shinobu wears a slightly altered version of the uniform that includes hakama pants and a completely buttoned top. Her haori has a pattern of butterfly wings on it.

Shinobu has a very pale complexion and light purple pupil-less eyes. She is generally open-natured and friendly. However, Shinobu also likes to tease other people, particularly the water hashira. She has been described by multiple characters as cute. Her dark hair has purple tips and is usually tied in a ponytail. She also wears a butterfly accessory in her hair.

If you want to go for a flexible, elegant look, try cosplaying as Shinobu! She is strong, intelligent, and likes to poke fun at people.

Rengoku Kyojuro

Next up, we have the Flame Hashira, a person of somewhat loud and strong disposition. As the flame hashira, his powers and appearance are also similar. His hair color symbolizes a flame with bright golden locks and red tips. His haori also has a similar pattern on a white background. While he wears the standard demon slayer uniform, his haori, and kyahan, or Japanese gaiters, also have the flame design.

Rengoku takes pride in his position as a Hashira and puts a lot of effort into keeping himself in shape. He believes in strict discipline and that the strong should protect the weak. While he can come off as eccentric and somewhat boasting, he cares for his friends and family deeply and is a warm-hearted person.

For cosplaying this character, your main focus should be the wig, as it creates half the look. Once you have that nailed, the next step is the facial features and the haori.

Muzan Kibutsuji

Muzan is the main antagonist of the Demon Slayer series. He is the king of all demons and the reason behind the tragic slaughter of the Kamado family. As a human, he has multiple forms; however, while appearing different in each form, he has a few consistent features. Muzan has dark curly hair, shining crimson eyes, and a menacing look. He is usually seen dressed in elegant suits with a white hat.

He is a popular character in the franchise due to his fighting tactic and elegance of speech. If this is a character look you are going for, you can choose from many of his different looks. For the most famous appearance, however, you will need a white hat, suit, short, dark curly hair, and crimson eye lens with vertical pupils.

Tsugikuni Yoriichi

Tsugikuni Yoriichi is known to be the strongest demon slayer ever. He is a legendary warrior and the father of the breathing techniques. He has a muscular build and long spiky hair kept up in a ponytail. He is a calm person with a silent demeanor. His clothes differ from the other demon slayers.

Instead of a button-up top, his outfit consists of a light orange kimono and a red haori with black hakama, zori, and tabi socks. Yoriichi has maroon-colored eyes, with the demon slayer mark on his forehead. He also has long black hair ending in red tips.

Yorrichi also wore hanafuda earrings, which hold a significant meaning for him. So if the traditional character with a powerful aura is something you want to go for, you should definitely consider cosplaying as Yoriichi.

Tomioka Giyu

Tomioka Giyu is the Water Hashira in the demon slayer corps. He is introduced early on in the series when he attempts to kill Nezuko after she has become a demon. Soon after, however that she still retains some control over herself. He then advises Tanjiro to become a demon slayer. As one of the Hashira, Tomioka is very strong and a man of few words. However, he also tends to show emotion at times.

Like other demon slayers, Tomioka also has a unique double-patterned haori and spiky hair that reaches his shoulders. He is an excellent choice if you want to dress up as a relaxed and quiet anime character. Tomioka’s appearance also goes through some changes near the end of the series, giving you two options for a Tomioka cosplay!

Agatsuma Zenitsu

Agatsuma Zenitsu is a major character in Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a demon slayer and Tanjiro’s traveling companion alongside Inosuke. Unlike these two, Zenitsu appears cowardly and tends to panic quite easily. He is a young boy with a pale complexion and eyes that generally look scared.

He has yellowish-golden hair cut in varying lengths in square-shaped orange ends. His hairstyle is rather tricky to cosplay, so you will need a proper wig for that. It is said that Zenitsu originally had black hair; however, he got struck by lightning during his training. This also caused a change in his hair color.

His demon slayer uniform is quite similar to his companions; however, it is brown in color. Zenitsu also wears a haori quite similar to his hair color. Spoiler Alert! For people who love couple cosplays, you can choose Nezuko and Zenitsu as they make an adorable pair!
