Rilakkuma is a fictional character from the Japanese company San-X and is an extremely popular mascot. Accordingly, you can find lots of merchandise such as picture books, utensils for the home, stationery, stuffed animals, stickers, posters, traces and much more.
As a Kigurumi, this cute bear is of course just perfect. Especially since the series Rilakkuma and Kaoru launched on Netflix in April 2019.
The name Rilakkuma is a combination of “rirakkusu”, a Japanese translation of the English word “relax” and “kuma”, the Japanese word for “bear”. You see, Rilakkuma is a cute stuffed animal bear.

Rilakkuma is quite greedy, although his absolute favorite foods tend to be sweet treats such as pancakes, dumplings, pudding, and grapes.
Rilakkuma has a secret hiding place on his back, which can be opened by a zipper. When you open it, a light blue dotted fabric comes out. However, somehow nobody knows exactly what the hiding place is all about and what is inside.
As the name suggests, Rilakkuma enjoys lounging and living a comfortable life. Accordingly, his favorite activities include sleeping, lounging, watching TV, and playing with his best friend, the yellow stuffed chick Kiioitori.
So for a kigurumi to snuggle comfortably on the sofa, Rilakkuma is just perfect! But of course the soft onesie is also great for cosplay or as a carnival and Halloween costume.
