Naruto is a manga series published in Weekly Shonen Jump since 1999, which has also been adapted into an anime. The plot revolves around twelve-year-old ninja Naruto Uzumaki, who is initially excluded by all the villagers because a fox-like demon named Kyuubi had been trapped inside him. Now Naruto’s dream is to eventually become Hokage -that is, village leader- and gain the respect and approval of the villagers. In the course of the series, more and more new friends support him.
Itachi Uchiha (Itachi = weasel) is Sasuke Uchiha’s older brother. He became a genin at the age of seven due to his talent as a shinobi. He had already mastered the Sharingan by the time he was eight and became a chunin at only ten and a team leader in the ANBU units at thirteen. No wonder Itachi was the great pride of the Uchiha clan, until he then wiped out the entire clan, leaving only little brother Sasuke to survive. This was done by order of the village elders of Konoha. The latter suspected – and not without good reason – that the Klan was attempting a coup d’état. Itachi then left Konoha and became a member of Akatsuki, so that he could continue to watch the home village and of course his little brother Sasuke from a certain distance.
