To understand Link: About 10,000 years ago, Ganon, an ancient evil, attacked the kingdom of Hyrule. The people of Hyrule were able to put him in his place using ancient technology crafted by the Sheikah. Years later, Ganon was on the verge of breaking the seal and the Hyruleans needed to find new warriors who could wield the weapons and powers they had used to defeat him in the past. One of them was Link, who was chosen by the Master Sword and also became Princess Zelda’s royal knight.

Ganon finally came and during this fight Link was badly wounded. Zelda sent him to the Shrine of Resurrection to recover while she imprisoned Ganon in Hyrule Castle. 100 years later, Link awakens and through the telepathic voice of Princess Zelda, the spirit of Hyrule’s deceased king and other humans who survived Ganon’s attack. He sets out to regain his lost memory, free the Divine Beasts, and free the spirits of the champions trapped within them. Using his bow skills and special arrows, he retrieves the Master Sword to finally slay Ganon before he escapes Zelda’s seal.
